Citrus Ginger Green Smoothie

The turkey has been cooked and eaten.  I’m sure everyone that indulged the way I did this year had the same results.  I call it the Thanksgiving roll.  Basically, you lay down on the floor and roll back and forth moaning on how much your belly hurts because you are way too full.  My Friend Melissa, at Food L’amor, has created a delicious smoothie that will help keep you from feeling sluggish and tired.  And as an extra bonus, it also helps keep your immune system powerful and strong during the cold and flu season.  Give it a go and then share some feedback on how this treated you.

Nutrition Tips

from Melissa at Food L’amor

After a heavy holiday meal it’s no wonder we sometimes feel sluggish and tired. It’s not all the turkey’s fault. Heavy foods, desserts, and overeating can make our digestive system feel sluggish too. I like to give my body a little break during the holidays and trade that bacon and eggs for a morning smoothie. Full of nutrients, fiber, and a yummy taste a simple smoothie each morning will help combat the holiday stress. This Citrus Ginger Green Smoothie will also give your immune system a much needed boost while you’re at it!
